Social-First Storytelling for Climate Innovation
Project Type
Multiplatform Branded Content Campaign
Client
Papahānaumokuākea Marine Debris Project
Challenge
The goal was to develop compelling, social-first storytelling on marine debris removal and translate PMDP’s climate innovation narratives into engaging content for digital audiences across multiple platforms.
Strategy
As a Branded Content Editor, I focused on shaping clear, consistent narrative frameworks that could translate across editorial, video, and social formats. This included defining and reinforcing the “ecopreneur” concept—environmentally driven entrepreneurs creating measurable climate impact—while ensuring each story maintained a unified voice tailored for platform-specific engagement.
Execution
I contributed copywriting and editorial support across Salesforce’s Ecopreneurs series, including episode 11: Papahānaumokuākea Marine Debris Project (PMDP). I helped craft social-first storytelling that brought purpose-driven founder narratives to life across digital channels. For the PMDP campaign, I wrote and refined copy for behind-the-scenes features, explainer videos, and social assets tied to a paid content landing page, ensuring consistency across formats while adapting messaging for each platform’s audience behavior. I collaborated closely with design and senior editors to maintain cohesion across the broader campaign ecosystem.
Results
The combined work across PMDP and the Ecopreneurs series contributed to multiple industry recognitions in 2023, including Content Marketing Project of the Year, B2B Branded Content Campaign of the Year, and Agency of the Year from the Marketing Institute. The campaigns strengthened audience engagement through impactful storytelling, improved cross-platform consistency, and expanded the reach of sustainability-focused brand narratives.
